1 Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the evaluation on the tendencies of corrosion and sludge production, which is produced by turbine oil of mineral oil type and HM fluid mineral of oil type, for copper catalyst metallic coil under the condition of oxygen, water, metallic copper and iron at high temperatures. This standard was also applicable to test the cycled oil containing rust preventive and anti-oxygen with relative density less than water.
Note: in this test, we tested the amount of copper and iron in oil, water and sludge. And we discovered the total content of iron was too low (below 0.8 mg) for the statistical analysis.
1.2 This standard is modified from GB/T 12581. In GB/T 12581, the method to trace acid value of the same class of oil product is used to determine oxidation stability of oil product. The hours for the acid value of oil product to reach 2.0 mg KOH / g are the oxidation life.
1.3 Procedure A of this standard requires the determination and report for the mass of sludge as well as the total content of copper in oil, water and sludge while procedure B only requires the determination for mass of sludge. Whether to test the acid value in the above two procedures is optional.
1.4 This standard adopted (SI) International System of Units.
1.5 This standard involved some safety problems relevant to the use of this standard, whereas we do not meant to put forward proposals for all the safety problems. Therefore, before the use of this standard, users shall establish proper safety and protective measures and make sure an applicable management system has been set.
