1 Scope This specification specifies the design, manufacture, inspection and test requirements of reciprocating compressor and its drivers and accessories in petrochemical industry. This specification is applicable to the engineering design and equipment procurement of reciprocating compressor for petrochemical industry. This specification is not applicable to power air compressor with a discharge pressure below 0.9 MPa (G), internal-combustion engine- or reciprocating steam engine-driven compressor, and small-sized high-speed compressor for oilfield. For reciprocating compressors above 31.5MPa (G) or super-pressure ones (>100MPa (G)), it may apply for reference. 2 Normative References The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this specification.
