1.1 This code presents the technological process and construction method in the construction of vertical cylindrical low-temperature storage tank and specifies the process control, quality inspection, and test requirement for the precasting, assembling and welding. 1.2 This code is applicable to the precasting, assembling, welding, inspection, test and acceptance and inspection of the vertical cylindrical low-temperature storage tank (hereinafter referred to as low-temperature storage tank), its nominal capacity is greater than or equal to 10000m3 and its design temperature is neither higher than -45℃ or nor less than -168℃. Those low-temperature storage tanks with nominal capacity being less than 10000m3 may be used by referring to this. 1.3 This code is applicable to the low-temperature storage tank storing such mediums as liquefied petroleum gas, propylene, ethylene, and natural gas. And those low-temperature storage tanks storing other mediums may be used by referring to this. 1.4 This code is applicable to the construction of low-temperature storage tank made of low alloy steel. And the stainless steel low-temperature storage tank may be used by referring to this. 1.5 This code is applicable to the steel single-layer low-temperature storage tank, steel double-layer low-temperature storage tank, and steel part of the double-layer low-temperature storage tank whose outer tank is of reinforced concrete structure.
