1 Scope
This standard specifies emergency alarms for offshore petroleum installations in case of fire, blowout, oil and gas leakage, hydrogen sulfide leakage, oil spilling, man overboard, asking for help while in danger, terrorist prevention and platform abandoning.
This standard is applicable to such offshore petroleum installations as movable and fixed platforms for offshore petroleum exploration and development, oil and gas production facilities, floating production and oil storage devices, land bank oil (gas) processing terminal, oil (gas) jetty, offshore beach land bank and artificial island.
