本标准适用于油气田地面建设工程中符合下列要求的钢制压力容器和钢制常压容器的制造、安装。
钢制常压容器的适用范围：圆筒形立式容器、圆筒形或椭圆形卧式容器，其容积不大于100m3，设计压力小于0.1MPa，且大于或等于-0.002MPa。碳素钢、低合金钢、高合金钢焊接的水箱、油箱、酸洗槽、电解槽、溜槽、漏斗等，其容积不大于40m3，设计压力不大于0.05MPa或直接连通大气。容器的设计温度高于-20℃，且不大于350℃。
