1 Scope
This Standard specifies the fundamental criteria of hydrogen sulfide monitoring and protecting for operation personnel during the explorating and developing production process of oil and gas field involving hydrogen sulfide.
This Standard is applicable to on-shore oil and gas field involving hydrogen sulfide.

3 Personnel Training
3.1 Training Organization
The training organization is responsible for training of hydrogen sulfide monitoring technology and protecting for operation personnel in environment involving in hydrogen sulfide. The training organization shall communicate information in lateral direction to learn about the international and domestic trends.
3.2 Training Contents
The operation personnel to work in environments involving hydrogen sulfide shall receive training and then take up their jobs after qualified and entitled with certificates. The training contents comply with relevant contents in SY/T 6137-2005.
3.3 Training Time
The training time for the first time shall be at least 15h. Repeat the training once every two years and the training time shall be at least 6h.
3.4 Examination Requirements
The site operation personnel, site supervision and management personnel shall meet the following requirements after training:
a) Have knowledge of the various physical and chemical characteristics of hydrogen sulfide and its harmfulness to human body. See Appendix A for the poisoning of hydrogen sulfide to human body;
b) Be acquainted with the performances, operation and maintenance methods of hydrogen sulfide monitors;
c) Be acquainted with the structures and performances of various personnel safety protective devices and be able to operate and maintain them correctly;
d) Be acquainted with the safety requirements and operating procedures of working in environment involving hydrogen sulfide;
e) When hydrogen sulfide leakage and acute poisoning occur, the operation personnel shall be able to take self-rescue and mutual aid measures;
f) Be acquainted with the emergency response plan of work place.

4.1 Hydrogen Sulfide Monitor
Fixed and portable hydrogen sulfide monitor shall be adopted.
