本标准规定了铁道保温车隔热性能的试验评定方法。保温车的隔热性能采用综合传热系数K值来表示。
本标准采用两种试验评定方法：第一种是热稳定法，适用于各种保温车；第二种是非热急定法，用在恒温试验室时，适用于各种保温车；当用在非恒温试验室时、仅适用于定型成批生产产品的抽检和旧车改造后的试验评定。
