1 Scope
This standard specifies the inspection and test method for the main technical performances of newly-made railway freight car, which is completed and not put into service.
This standard is applicable to the inspection and test for the newly-made assembled railway freight car with design speed not greater than 120km/h, axle load not greater than 25t and standard gauge. As for the newly-made railway freight car with design speed greater than 120km/h, axle load greater than 25t and special requirements, it may refer to the provisions of this standard.

Type test
Comprehensive assessment test on whether the basic parameters, structures, performances, etc. of the vehicle meet the design requirements.

Routine test
Routine inspection and test on the appearance, structure, and performance of mass-produced vehicles.

Exterior inspect
Surface quality inspection on the freight car and its components.

Structure inspect
Inspection on general performance of freight car's integral structure.
3.5
Function inspect
Inspection on the comprehensive performance of the whole freight car and the performance of various devices.

Running test
Running test on trial-produced sample vehicle, which is newly designed or has significant improved design in structure, before approval of putting into production in batch.
