1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, symbols and definition of coordinate system, documents to be respectively provided by the customer and the supplier, product characteristic requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of rolling stock rubber to metal parts.
This standard is applicable to rubber to metal parts used in the suspension system, equipment installation system, connection and limit positions, etc. of rolling stocks, passenger trains, freight trains and EMU for functions such as damping, cushioning, flexible connection and limit. It may serve as reference for the rubber to metal parts of urban rolling stocks.
Note: see Annex A for common types of rubber to metal parts.
This standard is not applicable to the windshields, air springs, sealing rubber products, rubber parts of coupler bumpers, hoses and conveyor belts of rolling stocks.
