1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and composition, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of sanding device of rolling stock.
This standard is applicable to sanding devices of rolling stock and EMU (hereinafter referred to as sanding devices).

3 Classification and composition
3.1 Sanding device is divided into gravity type and differential pressure type.
3.2 Sanding device is mainly composed of sand box (including sand box cover), sanding sprayer and sanding pipe, etc.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Service condition requirements
4.1.1 Environmental conditions
The sanding device shall operate normally under the following environmental conditions:
a) the altitude shall be 4,000m at most;
b) the environmental temperature is -40℃ to +50℃, the maximum mean relative humidity of the wettest month is no more than 95% (the mean minimum temperature of this month is +25℃);
c) there is weak acid, weak base and oils such as gasoline and mineral oil;
d) there is wind, sand, rain and snow.
Special requirements shall be determined through negotiation by the supplier and the purchaser.
4.1.2 Wind source conditions
4.1.2.1 The intake setting pressure for the sanding sprayer of rolling stock shall not be lower than 500kPa, and its compressed air quality shall not be lower than that specified in GB/T 13277.1-2008 for Class 3 solid particles, Class 3 humidity and Class 3 oil content.
4.1.2.2 The intake setting pressure for the sanding sprayer of EMU shall not be lower than 270kPa, and its compressed air quality shall not be lower than that specified in GB/T 13277.1-2008 for Class 3 solid particles, Class 3 humidity and Class 4 oil content.
4.2 Basic requirements
4.2.1 All components and accessories (including electrical elements) of sanding device shall be assembled and manufactured according to the product drawings and technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures. The same parts shall be interchangeable.
4.2.2 All parts shall be free from defects such as cracks, air holes, sand holes, burrs, fins, scale and rust on the surface.
4.2.3 The unnoted tolerances of linear and angular dimensions of machined parts shall meet the requirements of Class m in GB/T 1804-2000.
4.2.4 The unnoted shape and position tolerances of parts shall meet the requirements of Class K in GB/T 1184-1996.
4.2.5 The unnoted tolerances of linear and angular dimensions and unnoted shape and position tolerances of welding parts shall meet the requirements of Class B and Class F in GB/T 19804-2005.
4.2.6 During the installation of the sanding device, all parts shall be connected reliably, and anti-looseness measures shall be taken when connecting threads.
4.2.7 Sanding device can cooperate with the control device of rolling stock to carry out automatic sanding or manually controlled sanding.
4.2.8 Sanding device shall be able to spread sand evenly. The sanding device of rolling stock shall spread sand at the amount of 0.3L/min to 0.7L/min, and the sanding device of EMU shall spread sand at the amount of 500g/30s to 1,000g/30s under 450kPa sanding pressure.
4.2.9 Requirements of sand for sanding devices are given in Annex A.
4.2.10 Corresponding grade in GB/T 21563 shall be selected for the impact and vibration performance of the sanding device according to the installation position.
4.2.11 The maximum air consumption of each sanding device of EMU shall not be greater than 250NL/min during sanding and 25NL/min during drying.
4.2.12 The sand box should be mounted on the car body.
