General sportswear
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements of marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the general sportswear.
This standard is applicable to the general sportswear such as practice shoes, fitness shoes, walking shoes and jogging shoes, excluding shoes for professional competitive sports.
This standard is not applicable to kids' sportswear.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703-2008 and the following apply. For the convenience of application, some terms and definitions specified in GB/T 2703-2008 are listed below.

footwear designed and manufactured for non-competitive sports

4 Classification
4.1 Classification by upper materials
The products may be classified into the following four categories by upper materials:
a) natural leather (including top layer and split layer leathers) general sportswear;
b) synthetic (artificial) leather general sportswear;
c) fabric general sportswear;
d) general sportswear with mixed materials.
4.2 Classification by wearers
The products may be classified into the following two categories by the wearers:
a) men's general sportswear;
b) women's general sportswear.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 General requirements
5.1.1 The footwear size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.1.
5.1.2 The last dimension shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.
5.1.3 The shoe materials shall meet the requirements of corresponding product standards.
5.1.4 The defect which affects wearing shall be avoided.
