3 Technical requirements
3.1 Materials
3.1.1 Zinc ingots for galvanizing shall meet those specified for Zn99.995, Zn99.99 or Zn99.95 in GB/T 470-2008.
3.1.2 The chemical composition of zinc-5% aluminum or -10% aluminum mischmetal alloy ingot for hot-dip galvanizing shall meet those specified in YS/T 310. As agreed between the supplier and the purchaser, the range of aluminum content may also be adjusted appropriately.
3.1.3 The aluminum content in zinc-5% aluminum mischmetal alloy coating shall not be less than 4.2%, and the test method is shown in Annex C.
3.1.4 The aluminum content in zinc-10% aluminum mischmetal alloy coating shall not be less than 9%, and the test method is shown in Annex C.
3.2 Coating mass
3.2.1 Galvanized steel wire shall be divided into eight grades according to the weight of zinc coating, with the weight of zinc coating at all grades shown in Table 1. Specific zinc coating grades shall be specified in the corresponding product standards for implementation.
