1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and models, materials and structures, external dimensions, assembly polarity, and performance requirements for pre-terminated optical cable assemblies with duplex plugconnectors (hereinafter referred to as “assemblies”). It also describes the relevant test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, and storage of assemblies.
This document is applicable to the design, development, production, and inspection of pre-terminated optical cable assemblies with duplex plugconnectors for data center generic cabling. It may also be used as a reference for assemblies used in other application scenarios.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in YD/T 1272.1-2018, YD/T 1272.3-2015, and YD/T 3535.1-2019 apply.
4 Classification and models
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 The assemblies are classified into dual-ended assemblies with dual-cable and dual-fiber configurations, dual-ended assemblies with single-cable and dual-fiber configurations, multi-ended assemblies with dual-cable and dual-fiber configurations, and multi-ended assemblies with single-cable and dual-fiber configurations by structure.
4.1.2 The assemblies are classified into single-mode and multimode assemblies by fiber type.
4.1.3 The assemblies are classified into Type LC, SC, FC, LC to SC, LC to FC, and SC to FC assemblies by connector type.
4.1.4 The assemblies are classified into A-A assemblies and A-B assemblies by polarity.
4.2 Type
See Table 1 for the type codes of the assemblies, and Figure 1 for their composition.

4.3 Specifications
The specifications of the assemblies are represented by the number of terminations, connector type codes, cable sheath material, cable diameter, and length of the assembly. See Table 2 for the classification and codes for connector types. The cable diameter is measured in millimeters (mm), and the assembly length is measured in meters (m), both rounded off to one decimal place. See Figure 2 for the composition of the specification.

1 Scope

4.1 Classification
4.1.1 The assemblies are classified into dual-ended assemblies with dual-cable and dual-fiber configurations, dual-ended assemblies with single-cable and dual-fiber configurations, multi-ended assemblies with dual-cable and dual-fiber configurations, and multi-ended assemblies with single-cable and dual-fiber configurations by structure.
4.1.2 The assemblies are classified into single-mode and multimode assemblies by fiber type.
4.1.3 The assemblies are classified into Type LC, SC, FC, LC to SC, LC to FC, and SC to FC assemblies by connector type.
4.1.4 The assemblies are classified into A-A assemblies and A-B assemblies by polarity.
4.2 Type
