1 General
1.0.1 This Code is formulated in order to give full play to the role of road planting in improving urban ecological environment and enriching urban landscape, avoid planting from affecting traffic safety, ensure the living environment of greening plants, standardize planting planning and design on road, and improve the level of planting planning and design on road.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to planting space planning and design on urban trunk roads, secondary trunk roads, branch roads, plazas and social parking lots.
1.0.3 The planting planning and design on urban road shall follow the following basic principles:
1.0.3.1 Road planting shall mainly be arbors, in combination with shrubs and ground plants to fully cover the soil;
1.0.3.2 Road planting shall meet the requirements of driving sight and driving clearance;
1.0.3.3 The mutual location of greening trees and municipal utilities shall be arranged as a whole, and the trees shall have the required site conditions and growth space;
1.0.3.4 Planting shall be in suitable places with suitable plants, and conform to the associated ecological habits among plants; the soil that is not suitable for planting shall be improved for it;
1.0.3.5 Valuable existing trees should be preserved and ancient and rare trees shall be protected during road construction.
1.0.3.6 Road green space shall be equipped with irrigation facilities as required. The slope direction and gradient of the road green space shall meet the drainage requirements and be combined with urban drainage system to prevent ponding and soil erosion and water loss in green space;
1.0.3.7 Road planting shall be combined with long-term and short-term considerations.
1.0.4 The planting planning and design on road shall not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code, but also comply with the requirements of current relevant standards of the nation.
