1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions, symbols and abbreviations, classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of steel wire reinforced thermoplastics (PE) composite pipe and fitting (hereinafter referred to as pipe or fitting).
This standard is applicable to the pipes and fittings used for the transportation of urban water supply, urban gas, building water supply, fire water supply and special fluids (including suitable industrial waste water, corrosive gas solubles, solid powders, etc.).
This standard specifies that when the same type of plastic, other than polyethylene (PE) is adopted, it may be implemented by reference to this standard.
