Method of test for purification performance of passenger vehicle air purifier
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for testing the purification performance of passenger vehicle air purifiers (hereinafter referred to as air purifiers) for pollutants in the air.
It is applicable to air purifiers used in passenger vehicles with 7 seats or less.
Note: Air purifiers used in passenger vehicles with 8 seats or 9 seats may also be implemented by reference to this standard.
It is not applicable to the air purifiers fixedly installed in the air conditioning system of passenger vehicles.

5 Test methods
5.1 General test conditions
5.1.1 Except the test of which specific provisions are made for the test ambient conditions, the test shall be carried out in the laboratory with the ambient temperature and relative humidity of (25±2)℃ and (50±10)% respectively and without external airflow, strong sunlight or other radiation effects; in addition the concentration of particulate matters and chemical gaseous pollutants in the laboratory shall meet the requirements of GB/T 18883-2002.
5.1.2 Background conditions of test cabin: the temperature in the test cabin shall be (25±2)℃ and the relative humidity shall be (50±10)%; the background concentration of particulate matters above 0.3μm shall be less than or equal to 1×104/L; during testing the purification capability for gaseous pollutants, the background condition of corresponding pollutant shall not be higher than 20% of the limit specified in GB/T 18883-2002.
5.1.3 The air purifier to be tested shall be tested under rated status after the complete machine condition, filter installation and various functions are confirmed normal according to the requirements of the instructions.
5.2 Preparation before test
5.2.1 Check whether the test apparatus are within the qualified period of measurement and can work normally. The on-line gaseous pollutant concentration tester shall be periodically calibrated according to its measuring range (at least including 100%, 50% and 20% of the upper concentration limit within the measuring range), and the deviation with that measured by chemical method or chromatography shall be within ±10%.
5.2.2 When the package of the air purifier to be tested is opened during trial run, the air purifier to be tested shall be confirmed normal in the complete machine condition, filter installation and various functions according to the requirements of the instructions, and then it is put into trial run in the laboratory meeting the requirements of 5.1 for 1h.
5.2.3 One sampling point shall be set at a distance of 40cm to 45cm from the wall of the test cabin and 75cm to 80cm above the bottom surface of the test cabin (keep the maximum distance from the pollutant generating port as possible). The air inlet of the sampling tube is vertically upward. The test stand is 45cm to 50cm high, and it is placed in the center of the test cabin.
