Introduction
It has been a long history for the development and production of silk knitting garments that the products have grown to various garments and clothes and enjoyed wide domestic and foreign markets. It is mature to establish normative professional standards, which seems more and more significant and necessary. Therefore, this standard is formulated according to the notice of "Formulation and Revision Plan for National and Professional Standards on Textile Industry in 2000" GUIHAN [2000] No. 56 issued by State Bureau of Textile Industry.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the product variety, specification, requirements, grading requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking of circular silk weft knitting garments (hereinafter referred to as silk knitting garments).
This standard is applicable to the quality assessment of silk knitting garments and may also be referenced for silk and other fiber mixed and interwoven knitting garments.
This standard is not applicable to the quality assessment of noil silk knitting garments.

3 Variety and Specification
The variety and specification of silk knitting garments shall comply with GB/T 1335.1~1335.3-1997 or be designed and manufactured according to those specified in the contract.
4 Requirements
The requirements are stressed for two aspects including inherent quality and appearance quality. The inherent quality includes 7 indexes, such as fibre content, dry mass tolerance per square meter, bursting strength, dimensional stability to washing, color fastness, formaldehyde content and pH value; the appearance quality includes 4 indexes, such as dimensional tolerance of positions, dimensional tolerance of same piece, appearance defects and sewing requirements.
