This standard describes electrostatic discharge and ignition, and specifies electrostatic protective measures, safety limit of electrostatic hazard as well as analysis and determination of electrostatic accidents.
This standard is applicable to the design and management of the places with such electrostatic hazards as electrostatic ignition (initiation). Other electrostatic hazards (for example, electrostatic interference and electrostatic damage electronic component) may refer to the relevant clauses of this standard.
This standard is not applicable to the protection against electrostatic hazard of explosive and electric explosive device.
