1 Scope
This standard specifies the setting requirements and management of safety monitoring and controlling equipment in tanks section of major hazard installations of hazardous chemicals.
This standard is applicable to the setting of safety monitoring and controlling equipment in tanks section of major hazard installations of hazardous chemicals in chemical industry (including petrochemical industry), and other industries may be implemented by reference.

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

related equipment for monitoring, alarming and controlling dangerous factors (parameters) in tanks section
3.2
leak source
position that combustible or toxic gases (including vapor) may be released
3.3
fully close or half close site
rooms with ceilings, walls, doors and windows are fully close sites, and places with ceilings, more than half of the walls (or flower walls) and poor natural ventilation but without doors and windows are half close sites
3.4
fully open and half open site
spaces without ceilings and walls are fully open site. Spaces with only ceilings and good natural ventilation but without walls are half open site
3.5
monitoring and forewarning parameter
parameters of physical quantity or chemical quantity that can forecast, predict and characterize whether things are in a safety state or affect the safety state
3.6
combustible gas
gas with a certain flammability range when mixed with air at 20°C and standard atmospheric pressure of 101.3 kPa
3.7
toxic gas
including:
a) gases known to pose a hazard to human health
