1 Scope
This Part of GB 14287 specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements, testing, inspection rules, marking and operating instructions of arcing fault detectors.
This Part is applicable to arcing fault detectors installed and applied in electric circuit (10kW or below) of industrial and civil buildings. Unless otherwise specified in relevant standards, it is also applicable to the electrical-fire-monitoring arcing fault detectors used in other devices as well as those with special requirements under other circumstances.
