1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for compatibility and connectability of automatic fire alarm system components.
This standard is applicable to the compatibility and connectability assessment of automatic fire alarm system components.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply in this standard.
3.1
Component type 1
The device required having the function of protecting the life and property safety in accordance with the national standards or codes.
3.2
Component type 2
The device not required having the function of protecting the life and property safety in accordance with the national standards or codes.
3.3
Compatibility
The ability for the components type 1 to work by connection.
3.4
Connectability
The ability for the component type 2 and component type 1 to work by connection.
4 General Requirements
4.1 General
The compatibility and connectability of the automatic fire alarm system (the system functions are detailed in Appendix A) components shall firstly meet the requirements of this chapter, and then shall be tested according to the requirements of Chapter 5 and shall meet the test requirements. Moreover, the automatic fire alarm system components shall be carried out with the compatibility and connectability assessment according to the requirements of Chapter 6 and shall meet the test requirements of assessment.
4.2 Compatibility requirement
4.2.1 The component classification of the automatic fire alarm system and connecting device (or parts) shall comply with those specified in Appendix B, components type 1 shall adopt the product certificated by the fire product quality supervision and inspection organization of the State. The operation of components type 2 shall not affect the normal operations of automatic fire alarm system.
4.2.2 The connected automatic fire alarm system components, such as independent (zone) fire alarm control units, combustible gas alarm control units, alarm control units for electric fire prevention and fire detectors, manual fire trigger device, combustible gas detectors, detectors for electric fire prevention and fire alarm devices, shall meet the following requirements respectively:

4 General Requirements
4.1 General
The compatibility and connectability of the automatic fire alarm system (the system functions are detailed in Appendix A) components shall firstly meet the requirements of this chapter, and then shall be tested according to the requirements of Chapter 5 and shall meet the test requirements. Moreover, the automatic fire alarm system components shall be carried out with the compatibility and connectability assessment according to the requirements of Chapter 6 and shall meet the test requirements of assessment.
4.2 Compatibility requirement
4.2.1 The component classification of the automatic fire alarm system and connecting device (or parts) shall comply with those specified in Appendix B, components type 1 shall adopt the product certificated by the fire product quality supervision and inspection organization of the State. The operation of components type 2 shall not affect the normal operations of automatic fire alarm system.
4.2.2 The connected automatic fire alarm system components, such as independent (zone) fire alarm control units, combustible gas alarm control units, alarm control units for electric fire prevention and fire detectors, manual fire trigger device, combustible gas detectors, detectors for electric fire prevention and fire alarm devices, shall meet the following requirements respectively:
