This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements and test methods, sampling and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, safety and implementation of standard of general diesel fuels.
This standard is applicable to the general diesel fuels made from petroleum or added with additives, which are used for such compression ignition engines as tractor, diesel locomotive, construction machinery, inland ships and generating unit.
Note: other special purposes beyond the above may be negotiated by the supplier and the demander.

The general diesel fuels are classified into six designations according to condensation point:

1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements and test methods, sampling and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, safety and implementation of standard of general diesel fuels.
