1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements on discharge limits, monitoring and controlling for water pollutants of leather and fur making plants as well as relevant provisions on implementation and supervision of the standard. This standard is applicable to the discharge management of water pollutants for existing leather and fur making plants. This standard is applicable to the environmental impact assessment, design of environment protection facilities, completion acceptance of environmental protection as well as discharge management of water pollutants after commissioning for construction projects of leather and fur making plants. This standard is applicable to pollutant discharge allowed by law. The site selection of newly-set pollution sources and the management of the current pollution sources in the special protected zone shall conform to the relevant provisions in such laws, regulations and rules as Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment. The discharge control requirements of water pollutants specified in this standard are applicable to the deeds that the enterprises directly or indirectly discharge water pollutants out of their legal boundaries. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard.
