This standard specifies Nessler's reagent spectrophotometry used for determination of ammonia nitrogen in water.
This standard is applicable to determination of ammonia nitrogen in superficial water, underground water, domestic sewage and industrial waste water.
Where the volume of the water sample is 50ml and 20mm cuvette is used, the DL for this method is 0.025mg/L, the determination lower limit is 0.10mg/L and the determination upper limit is 2.0mg/L (based on N).
