GB 30585-2024 Safety technical specifications for infants’ and children’s footwear
1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions for safety of infants' and children's footwear, specifies the product classification, technical requirements and judgments, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to footwear products made from various materials for children and infants up to and including 14 years old.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703 and the following apply.

accessible
part or component of the footwear is considered accessible if it can be reached and touched by any part of a jointed test probe extended to it before the probe's axis shoulder during testing

3.2
sharp edge
edge formed at the junction of two surfaces of any component of infants' and children's footwear, where the length exceeds 2.0 mm and may cause injury to the user
3.3
sharp point
protruding tip on any component of infants' and children's footwear that may cause injury to the user
