1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods and judgment in terms of safety technology for children's footwear.
This standard is applicable to daily footwear made of all kinds of materials and intended for children of 14 years old or below (whose footwear size is 250mm or below).
This standard is not applicable to children's rubber footwear.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions below and those specified in GB/T 2703 apply.
3.1 Accessories
Components attached on children's footwear that play a part in connecting, decoration or instruction.
3.2 Accessible sharp edge
Edge that is formed at joint for two surfaces of any component or accessory on children's footwear, may be harmful to children by contact and with a length more than 2.0mm.
3.3 Accessible sharp point
Sharp point on any component or accessory of children's footwear that may be harmful to children.
3.4 Children’s footwear
Footwear whose sizes range from 170mm to 250mm and which are for 3-year-old ~ 14-year-old children.
3.5 Infant’s shoe
Shoes whose shoe sizes are not greater than 170mm and which are for infants and young children less than 3 years old.
3.6 Technical heel height
The value obtained by subtracting thickness of touchdown parts on half sole from height of heel.
