1 Scope This part of GB3836 specifies the requirements for the construction and testing of oil- immersed electrical apparatus, oil-immersed parts of electrical apparatus and Ex components in the type of protection "o". intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres of gas, vapor and mist. This part is applicable to electrical equipment unable to be ignited and thereof components; electrical equipment shall meet the provisions of GB 3836.8 except for those meeting GB 3836.4. Note: This standard assumes that the electrical apparatus immersed in the protective liquid is fixed in its operating position in accordance with the installation instructions. 2 Normative References The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB 3836, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, thereof subsequent amendments (excluding amending errors in the text) or revisions do not apply for this part. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this part are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of these documents are applicable.
