This Part of GB 5768 specifies the general requirements such as classification, color, form, character, pattern and dimension as well as the design and arrangement requirements for road traffic markings.
This Part is applicable to the fabrication and arrangement of traffic markings for highway, town road and place that is permitted to be passed through by social motor vehicles even though within the jurisdictional scope of units, including those for the public to passing through such as square and public parking lots. As for the traffic markings arranged in places and parking lots for other motor vehicles, it may apply by reference.
