1 Scope
This Part of GB 6067 specifies the basic safety requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, renovation, maintenance, application, discard and inspection of lifting appliances.
This Part is applicable to the general requirements of overhead travelling and portal bridge cranes, mobile cranes, tower cranes, jib cranes, cable cranes and small light lifting equipment. The requirements for special lifting appliances are provided in other parts of GB 6067.
This Part is not applicable to floating cranes, deck cranes and manned lifting equipment. If no basic safety problems are involved, other lifting appliances may also refer to this Part.
