This standard is made with a view to maintaining the virtuous circle of agro-ecological system, protecting the normal growth of crops and the top quality high yield of farm livestock products according to the relevant requirements of "Environmental Protection law of the PRC(for Trail Implementation)" and "Law on the Prevention of Air Pollution of the People's Republic of China".
The primary targets protected by this standard are crops, vegetables, fruit trees, mulberry teas and pastures.
This standard is supplemental to GB 3095-82 "Ambient Air Quality Standard".
1 The crops shall be classified into sensitivity, moderate sensitivity and resistibility and the concentration limits shall be respectively established according to the tolerance capacity of all sorts of crops, vegetables, fruit trees, mulberry teas and pastures to sulfur dioxide and fluorine compound. The classification of crop sensitivity is based on comprehensive consideration of the harm on crop yield capacity, economic character and leaf blade caused by air pollutants. The concentration limits of air pollutants are listed in Table1.
