1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, design and performance requirements, tests, determination of discharge capacity, calculation of equivalent capacity, marking and sealing, quality assurance system, as well as the general requirements of installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair for the safety valves.
This standard is applicable to the various safety valves having a flow diameter greater than or equal to 8mm and a set pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa. No limitation is placed on the applicable temperature of the safety valves.
2 Normative References
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.
