本标准规定了间接沉淀滴定法、电位滴定法测定食品中氯化钠的分析步骤；并提供了直接沉淀滴定法测定食品中氯化钠的分析步骤。
本标准的间接沉淀滴定法和直接沉淀滴定法适用于肉类制品、水产制品、蔬菜制品、腌制食品、调味品、淀粉制品中氯化钠的测定，不适用于深颜色食品中氯化钠的测定；电位滴定法适用于上述各类食品和深颜色食品中氯化钠的测定。
