This standard is developed in accordance with the regulations given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 13174-2008 "Determination of detergency and cycle of washing property for laundry detergents". The following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 13174-2008:
-- Refined the type requirements of whiteness meter;
-- Modified the used reagents, materials and preparation process of JB-03;
-- Deleted JB-04 and JB-05;
-- Modified the reference washing powder formula;
-- Merged the contents of Annex A to Annex D in the original standard into Annex A, added Annex B "Types and Production Requirements of Reference Detergents", revised Annex G and Annex H in the original standard into Annex D and Annex E respectively, and added Annex C "Technical Parameters of Rinse Controller", while deleted Annex E and Annex F in the original standard.
This standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Surfactant Soap and Detergent of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 272).
The previous editions of the standards replaced by this standard are as:
--GB/T 13174-1991, GB/T 13174-2003, GB/T 13174-2008;
--GB/T 15815-1995.
Introduction
In the revision of this standard, the relevant contents in ISO 2267:1986 and ISO 4312:1989 were referred, considering the actual conditions and industrial characteristics of the state, some specific procedures in the testing were completed and detailed, and some principal requirements in ISO 2267:1986 and ISO 4312:1989 were simplified, as well as the matters hardly used in practical situations and hard to be uniformly grasped. Since the detergent performance evaluation results are subject to the influence of such factors as instruments, equipment, test methods, test materials, reagents and ambient conditions and some factors cannot be repeated, the test results are difficult to reappear and their test errors relative to conventional analysis methods are relatively larger. Users of this standard shall further explore and coordinate the consistency of determination conditions and try to ensure the consistency of actual determination (test) results.
On the basis of unifying conventional testing conditions such as type of detergency testing machine, wash temperature and time and hardness of water, this standard only gives guiding opinions without explicit restrictions on the use concentration of the tested detergent products under the test conditions, the types and concentrations of reference detergents, and the quantity and varieties of JB series test cloth, which should be specified when cited by specific product standards.
