1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, model and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of downhole drill hammers and bits.
This standard is applicable to downhole drill hammers (hereinafter referred to as hammers) and downhole drill bits (hereinafter referred to as bits) powered by compressed air or a mixed medium of compressed air and water. Hammers and bits, as downhole drill tools, are used for drilling blast holes and deep holes for various applications in all kinds of mine engineering and other construction projects.
