1 Scope
This standard specifies two sampling methods for chemical staple fibres; the sampling method for off-loom product is applicable to quality inspection of manufacturing plant and that for container is applicable to delivery inspection, reinspection, arbitration inspection, etc.
This standard is applicable to sampling of loose fibre, tows and top produced with organic synthetic polymer or inorganic matter or produced in a converted way with natural polymer; for example, polyester fibre, acrylic fibre, polyamide fibre, polypropylene fibre, vinylon fibre, viscose fibre, modal fibre, lyocell fibre, acetate fibre, carbon fibre, etc.
