1 Scope
This standard specifies terminologies and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of preformed flexible elastomeric cellular thermal insulation.
This standard is applicable to preformed flexible elastomeric cellular thermal insulation with service temperature at -40 ℃~105℃.

3 Terminologies and Definitions

Preformed flexible elastomeric cellular thermal insulation
Preformed flexible thermal insulation with closed cell structure processed by mixing, extruding, foaming and cooling after adding various additives such as antiaging agent, flame retardant, stabilizer and vulcanite with natural or synthetic rubber and other organic polymer materials as base material.

Apparent density
Mass of unit volume of foam material at specified temperature and relative humidity.
