1 Scope
This standard specifies the test method for determining asbestos in products with X-ray powder diffractometer and polarizing microscope.
This standard is applicable to the determination of asbestos in building material, friction material, sealing material, thermal insulation material and nonmetallic mineral.

the mica swelling clay mineral. A generic term for minerals containing hydrated magnesium layer between structural layers but generally containing hydrobiotite (with large amount of potassium) in interlayer structure
3.1.3
fiber particle
the particle with the length-diameter ratio greater than 3
3.1.4
