This document replaces GB/T 26520-2011 Calcium chloride for industrial use. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 26520-2011:
— The scope has been modified (see Clause 1 herein; Clause 1 of Edition 2011);
— The classifications of calcium chloride dihydrate have been modified (see Clause 5 herein; Clause 5 of Edition 2011);
— The index requirements for pH have been modified (see 6.2 herein; 5.2 of Edition 2011).
— The index requirements of calcium chloride dihydrate Type III have been added (see 6.2 herein);
— The index requirements of the water insoluble matter and iron content of calcium chloride anhydrous and calcium chloride dihydrate have been modified (see 6.2 herein; 5.2 of Edition 2011);
— The determination methods of total alkali chloride, iron content and pH have been modified (see 7.5.2.3, 7.7 and 7.10 herein, 6.6.2.3, 6.8 and 6.11 of Edition 2011);

6 Requirements
6.1 Appearance: calcium chloride anhydrous and calcium chloride dihydrate are white flake, powder or granular solids; calcium chloride solution is colorless and transparent liquid.
6.2 The test method of calcium chloride for industrial use as specified in this document shall meet those specified in Table 1.
