Steel Gate, Globe and Check Valve for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries (for Sizes DN100 and Smaller)
1 Scope
This standard specifies the structural types, specifications, materials, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for steel gate valves, globe valves (including throttle valves) and check valves (hereinafter referred to as "valves") of nominal sizes not larger than DN100 for petroleum and natural gas industry applications.
This standard is applicable to flanged end valves of nominal pressure PN20, PN50, PN100, PN250, and of nominal sizes DN8 to DN100.
This standard is applicable to socket welding and threaded end compact valves of nominal pressure PN140, PN250, and of nominal sizes DN8 to DN65.
This standard is applicable to butt-welding end valves of nominal pressure PN20 to PN250, and of nominal sizes DN8 to DN100.
This standard is applicable to gate and globe valves valves of bellows stem seal construction.
Note: Nominal pressure PN20 is equivalent to Class150, nominal pressure PN50 is equivalent to Class300, nominal pressure PN100 is equivalent to Class600, nominal pressure PN140 is equivalent to Class800, and nominal pressure PN250 is equivalent to Class1500.
