GB/T 32286.1-2015 Soft magnetic alloys - Part 1: Nickel-iron alloys
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 32286 specifies the classification, order information, dimensions and shapes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certification of iron-nickel soft magnetic alloy products.
This part is applicable to cold-rolled strips, cold-drawn wires, cold-drawn (rolled) pipes, and hot-rolled (forged) bars and flat billets made of iron-nickel alloys with higher permeability and higher saturation magnetic induction intensity (1J46, 1J50 and 1J54) and high permeability iron-nickel alloys (1J76, 1J77, 1J79, 1J80, 1J85 and 1J86); cold-rolled sheets made of high permeability iron-nickel alloys (1J79 and 1J85); cold-rolled strips made of iron-nickel rectangular magnetic alloys (1J34, 1J51, 1J52, 1J65, 1J67, 1J83 and 1J403); cold-rolled strips made of magnetic compensate iron-nickel alloys depending on temperature variation (1J30, 1J31, 1J32, 1J33 and 1J38); and cold-rolled strips made of permanent permeability iron-nickel alloys (1J66).
This part is not applicable to high hardness, high resistivity and high permeability iron-nickel alloy products, corrosion-resistant iron-nickel alloy products, and iron-nickel alloy products for magnetic heads (hereinafter referred to as "alloy products").

3 Classification
3.1 The iron-nickel soft magnetic alloys are classified into the following five categories according to their main characteristics:
a) Iron-nickel alloys with higher permeability and higher saturation magnetic induction intensity;
b) High permeability iron-nickel alloys;
c) Rectangular magnetic iron-nickel alloys;
d) Magnetic compensate iron-nickel alloys depending on temperature variation;
e) Permanent permeability iron-nickel alloys.
3.2 The iron-nickel soft magnetic alloys are classified into the following four categories according to their nickel content:
a) E1: Iron-nickel alloys with a nickel content of 72%~83%;
b) E2: Iron-nickel alloys with a nickel content of 54%~68%;
c) E3: Iron-nickel alloys with a nickel content of 45%~51%;
d) E4: Iron-nickel alloys with a nickel content of 30%~40%.
