This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 34120-2017 Technical requirements for power conversion system of electrochemical energy storage system. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 34120 - 2017:
——The scope of use of the document has been changed, and the upper limit of "output AC voltage" has been determined to be 35 kV (see Clause 1 hereof; and Clause 1 of Edition 2017);
——Terms such as "AC terminal", "DC terminal", "fault ride through", "low voltage ride through", "high voltage ride through", "primary frequency control", "inertia response", and "touch current" have been added, and duplicate terms with DL/T 2528 have been removed (see Clause 3 hereof; and Clause 3 of Edition 2017);
——Product classifications such as "connection relationship with power grid", "access voltage level", "installation and use environment", "cooling mode" and "topology structure" and "product code” have been added (see Clause 4);
——The "electrical conditions for grid connected operation" have been changed and the "off grid operation conditions" have been added (see 5.2 and 5.3 hereof; and 5.1 of Edition 2017);
——"Appearance and protection level" has been added (see Clause 6);
——Functional requirements such as "start-up and shutdown", "alarm and protection", "insulation resistance detection", "operation information monitoring", "statistics", and "data display and storage" have been added (see 7.1, 7.4, 7.5, 7.7, 7.8, and 7.9);
——Electrical performance requirements such as "power output range", "primary frequency control", "inertia response", "high voltage ride through", "continuous fault ride through", "operational adaptability", and "equipment availability" have been added (see 8.1.1.1, 8.1.1.3, 8.1.1.4, 8.1.8.1.8.1.2, 8.1.8.4, 8.1.9, and 8.1.14);
——The "electrical safety distance" and "insulation requirements" have been changed, and safety performance requirements such as "equipotential connection and protective grounding", "capacitor residual energy hazard protection", and "mechanical protection" have been added (see 8.2.1.1, 8.2.1.2, 8.2.1.3, 8.2.1.4, 8.2.4 hereof; and 5.7 and 5.8 of Edition 2017);
——The requirements for "low temperature adaptability", "high temperature adaptability", and "wet heat adaptability" have been changed, and the requirements for "salt spray adaptability" have been added (see 8.2.3.1 ~ 8.2.3.4 hereof; and 5.4.20 of Edition 2017);
——The requirements for "electromagnetic compatibility" have been changed, and corresponding requirements have been proposed for different access voltage levels (see Clause 9 hereof; and 5.8 of Edition 2017);
——The "auxiliary system" has been added (see Clause 10);
——The "inspection rules" requirements have been changed, and the test items have been adjusted according to product classification and new technical requirements (see Clause 11 hereof; and Clause 6 of Edition 2017).

Technical requirements for power conversion system of electrochemical energy storage system
1 Scope
This document specifies the functional requirements for power conversion system (hereinafter referred to as "power conversion system") used in electrochemical energy storage systems, including start-up and shutdown, power control, parallel and off grid switching, alarm and protection, insulation resistance detection, communication, operation information monitoring, statistics, data display and storage, electrical performance and safety performance, as well as classification and coding, normal working conditions, appearance and protection level, electromagnetic compatibility, and auxiliary systems, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing, test, testing, operation, maintenance and overhaul of power conversion system of energy storage systems with electrochemical cells as energy storage carriers and AC terminal voltages of 35 kV or less.
