1 Scope
This standard specifies the types, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of wallpapers.
This standard is applicable to wallpaper of various substrates.

3 Product type
3.1 Wallpaper can be divided by material type into pure paper type, pure non-woven paper type, paper-backing type, non-woven paper-backing type and fabric backing type.
3.2 Wallpaper can be divided by function into common type and mildew-proof type.
4 Requirements
4.1 Dimensional deviation
Each roll of wallpaper shall be marked with length and width, whose allowable deviation shall not exceed ±1.5% of the nominal size.
4.2 Number of segments per roll and minimum segment length
The number of segments per roll and minimum segment length shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1.

4.3 Appearance

4.5 Harmful substances
The limit of harmful substances in wallpaper shall be in accordance with GB 18585.
4.6 Raw and auxiliary materials
4.6.1 The wallpaper products shall neither use toxic and harmful raw materials nor recycled ones.
4.6.2 The proportion of synthetic fiber content in the base paper of pure non-woven paper wallpaper and of non-woven paper-backing wallpaper shall be 15% or higher and 5% or higher respectively.
4.6.3 The anti-mould activity of adhesives used in wallpaper construction shall meet the requirements of JC/T 548, the harmful substances limit of adhesives shall meet the requirements of other adhesives in Table 2 of GB 18583-2009, and the harmful substances limit of wallpaper primer shall meet the requirements of water-based wall coatings in GB 18582-2008.
