Green product assessment - Sanitary wares
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for assessment of sanitary wares, a kind of green products, and describes the assessment methods.
This document is applicable to the green product assessment of sanitary wares, including water closets, integrated smart water closets, squatting pans, urinals and face washers.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 6952, GB 6566, GB/T 9195, GB 21252, GB/T 26572, GB/T 33761 and GB 38448 apply.
4 Assessment requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 Manufacturer
4.1.1.1 Energy-saving and environmental protection
The manufacturer must meet at least the following requirements for energy-saving and environmental protection.
——The pollutant emitted by the manufacturer shall meet the requirements of GB 25464 and local pollutant emission standards, and the total emissions of pollutants shall be controlled to the extent that meet the relevant national and local control targets; the manufacturer shall strictly implement relevant national standards of energy conservation and environmental protection and provide a list of standards, and have no major or above safety accidents or environmental pollution incidents in the past three years.
——The safety production standardization level of the manufacturer shall meet the requirements for Grade III or above as stipulated in Standard for safety production standardization evaluation of building sanitary ceramics enterprises.
——The manufacturer shall be equipped with energy measuring instruments in accordance with GB 17167 and GB/T 24851, and water measuring instruments in accordance with GB 24789;
——The noise emission shall meet the requirements of GB 12348.
——The product packaging shall meet the relevant requirements of green packaging standards and those specified in JC/T 694.
——The main packaging materials shall be recyclable, non-toxic and harmless, and should be materials that are easily decomposed or biodegradable.
——The quantity of water intake per unit product shall be calculated as per A.1, and shall not be greater than 8.0 m³/t.
——The recycling of production waste shall meet the following requirements: the recycling rates of waste ware, waste blank (including glazed body), waste glaze slurry, and waste sludge shall not be less than 98%, respectively. The calculation shall follow those specified in A.2–A.5.
——The utilization rate of gypsum mold shall be calculated as per A.6, and the dosage of gypsum powder per unit product shall not exceed 0.2 t/t.
——The comprehensive energy consumption of products shall be calculated in accordance with those specified in GB/T 2589 and GB 21252. The comprehensive energy consumption per unit product shall meet the requirements for Class 2 indicators in GB 21252.

4 Assessment requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
