1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, transportation, storage and ex-factory documents of liquefied natural gas (hereinafter referred to as "LNG") vehicles.
This standard is applicable to M2, M3, N2, and N3 vehicles which can use liquefied natural gas fuel.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions given in GB/T 17895 and QC/T 755 and the following apply.
3.1
special equipment for LNG vehicles
equipment for storing and supplying LNG to the vehicle, composed of components for gas storage and supply component, filling and safety
3.2
liquid signal system
system for measuring the liquid level in the vehicle gas cylinders, converting the level to liquid volume and displaying it
4 Technical requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The vehicle shall be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved through the established procedures. All parts and components shall have product certificates and be re-inspected before assembly.
4.1.2 All performances of the LNG vehicle shall meet the requirements of GB 7258-2017 and other compulsory national standards.
4.1.3 The LNG vehicle shall be equipped with independent special equipment for LNG vehicles, which is the only equipment allowed to output LNG vehicle fuel.
4.1.4 The LNG vehicle shall be provided with a gas leakage alarm device.
4.1.5 The LNG vehicle shall be provided with a rubber belt of electrostatic conductivity.
4.1.6 The LNG vehicle cab shall be provided with a dry powder fire extinguisher.
4.1.7 Other components installed on the LNG vehicle shall not affect the operations of filling and valves and other devices.
4.1.8 The technical conditions of the ignition engine shall comply with the specifications of QC/T 691; the technical conditions of the compression-ignition engine shall comply with the specifications of QC/T 471.
4.1.9 The automobile manufacturer shall fill the engine oil meeting the requirements of the engine manufacturer, which can be temporarily replaced by diesel engine oil with quality grade higher than CH-4.
4.1.10 All components shall be made of materials with high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance according to engine exhaust temperature and exhaust composition.
4.2 Special equipment for LNG vehicles
The safety protection shall meet the requirements of GB 7258-2017. The special equipment for LNG vehicles shall comply with the requirements of QC/T 755 and the requirements as follows:
a) The pressure and temperature of the output gas of the special equipment for LNG vehicles shall meet the requirements of the engine.
b) The special equipment for LNG vehicles shall automatically cut off the LNG output under any of the following conditions:
1) Ignition switch is off;
2) The engine is not working;
3) The fuel lines are broken, fall off, etc.
c) All electrical components of special equipment for LNG vehicles shall comply with the requirements of GB 3836.1.
d) The filling device shall meet the requirements of GB/T 25986.
e) The liquid signal system shall meet the following requirements:
1) The liquid volume display of LNG vehicle shall be instrument display, in liter (L) or percentage (scale).
2) LNG vehicles shall be able to give an alarm signal when the liquid volume in the gas cylinders is low: give the first alarm when the remaining liquid volume is not enough for the driving range of 100 km, and give the second alarm when the remaining liquid volume is not enough for the driving range of 50 km.
