This standard is applicable to aluminium hydroxide used as raw materials for the production of inorganic aluminum salts, flame retardant fillers and other special alumina products.

3 Requirements
3.1 Product designation
Aluminum hydroxide is classified into two designations by chemical composition and physical properties: AH-1 and AH-2.
3.2 Chemical composition and physical properties
The chemical composition and physical properties of aluminum hydroxide shall be as specified in Table 1. The numerical values in the table shall be rounded off and judged in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
