This standard specifies the general technical requirements, supply scope, standby redundancy, special tools, factory and field test, and trial operation requirements for the hydro generators and their auxiliary equipments.
This standard is applicable to the 50Hz three-phase salient pole synchronous generators (hereinafter referred to as hydro generators) directed connected with the hydraulic turbines and with rated capacity 25 MVA and above. The exported hydro generators with rated capacity less than 25 MVA or frequency equal to 60 Hz may be implemented in reference to this standard.
