This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, dimension, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as packages, marks and quality certificates of stainless steel clad plates, sheets and strips (hereinafter referred to as "clad plates (strips)") produced by explosion, exploded rolling and rolling methods.
This standard is applicable to clad plates (strips) with stainless steel as clads while carbon steel and low alloy steel as the base metal, including medium plates (thickness ≥ 1mm)used for pressure vessels or tanks of petroleum, chemical industry, light industrial industry, seawater desalination and nuclear industry as well as single(double) side(s) and symmetrical (asymmetric) clad plate clad steel sheets (strips)and shear plates (thickness ≤0.8mm)used for equipment or instruments of light industry machinery, foods, cooking utensils, buildings, decoration, pipe welding, passenger trains, medicine and sanitation and environmental protection.
