1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements of radiation protection and safety of source containers and instrumentation with sealed radioactive source (hereinafter referred to as sealed source) as well as the requirements of the inspection of radiation protection.
This standard is applicable to the instrumentation with sealed source and basing on particle fluence and measurement such as the level gage, densimeter, hygrometer and nuclear scale.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this standard.
3.1 Radioactive source container
Put sealed source at the accurate geometrical position and provide enough shield protection to make surrounding radiation level below that of containers with specified value. Source brakes controlling the on-off of primary radiation and indicators of radiant state etc. may also be arranged on source containers.
3.2 Useful beam
The radiation through the window, diaphragm and conical bore of source containers or through other shape collimators.
