1 General provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to go through with the national technical economic policy to achieve safety and reliability, economic feasibility, state-of-art technology, integral esthetic appearance, and convenience of maintenance and administration in electrical design of civil buildings.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the electrical design of newly constructed, renovated and extended civil urban buildings, and it is not applicable to the electrical design of civil defense, gas booster station, and filling station.
1.0.3 The electrical design of civil buildings shall embody people oriented concept, take comprehensive treatment for electromagnetic pollution, sound pollution and light pollution to meet the requirement of relevant standards on environmental protection and ensure the environmental safety of habitations.
1.0.4 The equipment level in electrical design of civil buildings shall be in accordance with the functional requirement and serviceability of the engineering.
1.0.5 The electrical design of civil buildings shall adopt mature and virtual energy-saving measures to reduce the electric power consumption.
1.0.6 Products meeting the national current standards shall be selected. And those products eliminated in China are strictly prohibited to be used.
1.0.7 The electrical design of civil buildings shall adopt those new tried and true technologies to enhance the economic benefit and social benefit.
1.0.8 Not only the requirements stipulated in this code, but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation shall be complied with in the electrical design of civil buildings.
