1 Scope
This standard specifies the inspection and acceptance contents and methods for baggage handling system of civil airport terminal buildings.
This standard is applicable to the inspection and acceptance of baggage handling system of civil airport terminal buildings.
This standard is not applicable to the inspection of stand-alone equipment in baggage handling system of civil airport terminal buildings.

3.1 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

delivery
process of selectively transferring baggage from a certain conveying path to other conveying paths
3.1.2
merge
process of orderly merging baggage on two or more conveying paths into one conveying path
3.1.3
sorting
process of separating the baggage from the system and making it reach the designated exit as per the system instructions according to the flight, destination and other information of the baggage
3.1.4
baggage handling time
time for the baggage in a baggage handling system to be conveyed from the starting point of the system (check-in counter) to the end of the system (chute, loading and unloading conveyor, etc.)

correct identification ratio[1) The sum of the correct identification ratio, the unidentified ratio and the misidentification ratio is equal to 100%.]1)
percentage of the number of baggage of which the tag can be read correctly by the tag reading device to the total number of baggage of which the tags are read
